Assignment: rework an old factory into an art centre.

The interventions are reduced to the minimal in order to sublimate the character of the buildings. Throughout a reorientation, the centre directs itself to the underlying district and gives it a stronger social function.

In its design the three pillars reception/public (green), showing/art (blue) and creation/artist (yellow) are seen as equal. By using one level throughout all sub-buildings as main-axis, encounter between public, art and artists is put central. The former vertical storage is changed into a clear transition - a buffer (red).
